Primping and Polishing

After a vicious kick boxing workout cardio king Sam Hawkins, my body was completely soaked in sweat and all I wanted to do was sit and not move. I think everyone felt the same way when I saw most of the people from class still sitting outside the class, mouths agape, wiping moisture off our arms.

Look at the video above and try to do that for an hour! If you want a class where you get a crazy awesome cardio workout, check him out. He is incredible. One classmate’s heart rate monitor said that we burned 600 calories. Insanity. That is half of my food intake just burned away.

I headed over to Bloomingdale’s to meet my friend Monika and get a birthday present for my mother-in-law. Big sale today on shoes, but I didn’t buy any. I didn’t feel the need to burden myself more–I was already carrying too much stuff, since I had to bring my work with me to the doctor’s office, along with workout clothes, etc. I found a really nice birthday present, but I can’t say anything here, since I want it to be a surprise.

When we exited, we were caught in the rain. Luckily, my heavy bag also contained an umbrella and flip flops for my friend, so she didn’t have to run in her high heels.

Monika and I headed over to get our eyebrows threaded. It was her first time doing it, and her eyebrows look fantastic! I’ve been doing it since I was 21 and am addicted-for the price of $4 dollars, nothing is as good or accurate as threading.

I met Ray around 8:30PM, when he got off of work and we couldn’t wait to get back to the warmth and dryness of our apartment. Now, it’s time to clean the apartment and pack for our long weekend trip up to upstate New York. Yay for another late night!

Breakfast: Granola and Skim Milk.

Lunch: Falafel with Pita and a bit of Hummus.

Dinner: Beef with Whole Wheat Noodles.
