A Rainy Day and Public Transportation

Today, I worked out twice, once in the morning and once in the evening.  Yes, I am sore.  I woke up at 5AM, when my husband’s alarm started blasting. Then, I had my tea and caught up on a few things and went to work out with Marina. She worked me hard. I am proud to say that I ran a full 9 minutes without stopping at 6 miles per hour. That’s huge for me!

After the workout, I walked a part of the way and was so uncomfortable, I hopped on a bus. I witnessed four separate blind people get on the bus and was in shock at the rudeness of my fellow bus riders. No one wanted to get up, no one would answer questions when they asked “Where are we?” I couldn’t believe it. In one bus ride, I witnessed several atrocious things, a crazy woman almost attacked another woman. A young man tried to get on the bus without paying and then started screaming and swearing at the bus driver when the bus driver noticed and then shoved an elderly woman and said, “Move out the way, b****” in his great state of agitation. I also noticed that it’s mainly women that get up for the elderly, pregnant ladies and blind. C’mon guys, bring back the gentleman in you-feminism couldn’t have totally destroyed that.

I also saw a guy playing on his guitar in the subway–he wasn’t good at all, but he was singing about a lovely subject, so I thought I’d take a short video of it. You can always find a story on any subway or bus ride in the city, but sometimes you don’t want to live through a great story and it may be better to walk, whenever you have the time to do it.
