Bahamas to Hyde Park

Yeah, um…I’ve been terrible about these posts. A whirlwind (yes I stuck in an idiom!) of things have happened in the past few months that I haven’t updated about at all. I think it’s hard to post stuff sometimes, especially when you know you’re posting to people who have known this as a Travel Blog and I am currently not traveling anywhere but in the Chicagoland area-more specifically to Hyde Park, Park Ridge, the loop and back. (stick a lil’ Bahamas in there for my Spring break :))

In the midst of finals, I’d rather procrastinate, so I’ll tell you what I’ve been thinking about. I’ve realized that over the past two years I’ve learned a heck of a lot more than I imagined I’d learn. I am now ready to be given the throne and take control over the youths’ minds everywhere! Ok-I’m just JOSHIN’-give me a break, a lil’ humour there, a lil’ smile from you. Jeez-sometimes I just like being cheeeeesy.

What else? I’ve had an interesting semester. I’ve changed some things around (refer to the managing folders blog) and met tons of new people. I’ve let go of those who haunted my past and found a complete happiness. And as I was thinking nothing else could make me happier, I was blessed with the gift of love. It just gets better and better every day. Love, that is. I haven’t ever known this much about love until now.

I guess I’m just sorta…swept away.

Out of order and Midsemester, Mom and I went to the Bahamas on a little vacation. It was perfect and excellent and warm and well, I was with a woman I love and respect dearly. She suggested this trip to add a lil’ sunshine to our lives.

As for where I’m traveling this summer? Well, it’s exciting. At least for me! Perhaps it’s not Africa, like last year, but it’s places and things that I’ve wanted/chosen to do. In a couple of weeks, I’m off to Jersey and then to Nebraska to work for a federal judge for a few months. After that, I’ll be walking hand in hand with the love of my life a 250 mile pilgrimage from Warsaw to Czestochowa.

And so, as soon as I’m in Jersey or Nebraska or Poland, I’ll be justified to post again because, hey…it is a Travel Blog and I refuse to write and justify it by saying “life’s a journey” or something-although there I go slipping another cliche in! FANTASTIC!
